King Sunny Adé and his African Beats
Synchro System
Island Records 1983

King Sunny Adé, front

In 1983, Island Records came with this great album. It’s back side
has almost the same photo as African released ‘Ajoo’ had on the front.
There are also some simular numbers. This European LP has the numbers
nicely devided, while the African release had them melted together.
To me, this is one of King Sunny Adé’s very best albums.

tracks;

1 Synchro feeling, Ilako
2 Motimo
3 Penkele
4 Maajo
5 Synchro sytem
6 E saiye re
7 Tolongo
8 E wele
9 Synchro reprise

I agree. One of the best KSA albums. Thanks for reminding me of it.

You can”t imagine – ten years ago (may be more) I have found this disk here, in Moscow, in only second hand vynil shop in the city. At that time I didn’t know who is Sunny Ade and what does mean the word “ju-ju”. It was my first acquaintance with this music& How do you think – wasn’t i glad?

yes, tropical stuff is good in our long winter (but this year winter here is extremely warm). I am very crazy about african music^ and this May going to be at the Farican festival in Wurzburg (Germany). Do you know something about this festival???
