Prince Nico Mbarga & Rocafil Jazz International
Cool Money, Roger’s All Stars 1981

Nico Mbarga, front

After his huge succes in 1976 with ‘Sweet Mother’, Prince Nico
Mbarga had become indestructible throughout most West African
countrys. I found this LP together with two others, also from ’81.
Family Movement and Lucky Marriage, I’ll post those later.
Poppy kind of Highlife from Nigeria.

tracks;

1 Cool money
2 Another woman’s husband
3 Impossible
4 Afufu uwa

    I love this record, and his records are very hard to come by these days. I’m really looking forward to hearing the other two, I’ve not heard them at all. Thanks for sharing!!!

    Hi Moos,
    I recently bought a reissue of this LP on Klimt Records, and the first two songs : ‘cool money’ and ‘another woman’s husband’ are not the same as the ones under that name in this post (and also on Grooveshark !). Could there have been a mix up ? Hard to imagine a reissue with such an error, but it might be the case ! I’m a bit disappointed, because the tracks in this post are a lot better, and are the reason why I actually bought the reissue…

    Hi again,
    Any idea on where the first two songs of this post actually come from ? They’re NOT “cool money” and “another woman’s husband” !
    Dying to know, hope someone can help.
