Don’t worry…the African stuff is just harder to find. There are lots of places to get samba and son and the like, but the good African stuff is still available at a pretty limited number of places.

    Moos,

I would bet you know more good places than I, but I don’t see these in the links on your side bar.

    Moos,

Another that is worth getting to know…

Just to be clear…you are one of the best sources…but I seem to see lots more from Brasil and South America than I do from Africa…both in the stores and on the web.

I was trying to be encouraging…keep putting up the non-African stuff…it’s great.

Moos, I asked myself why for the last 20 years I only hear African music and I think the main reason is that is extroverted music.

Other music are very beautiful but introverted and each one of us requires different content depending on their personality.

    Re: Samba
I think quite a lot of stuff on samba are available if you google meticulously. Simply put in “samba blogspot” or “x blogspot” where x here represents a particular artist or band and you will get loads of links. The web is a mine field and with patience you will succeed!
Much more, thank you global groove for this wonderful music. I grew up in the 80s Nigeria and never knew half of these albums from these wonderful artists ever existed. Keep it up! Long live world music!!
