  1. danke schön…..for this wonderful music…i remember as a teenager to hear brass band groups in ghana on funerals played all kinds of music..and such was in the 70s….that lead me into listening american jazz music…later… meda ase paa….

  3. This is truly groovy music. It reminds me of the brass bands from India and New Orleans, with that same “dancing in the streets” (or as you said, carnival “parade style”) feeling. Thanks.

  5. the link is alive – and nice to have the entire album, one title (the last one) was reissued a few years ago on an Ghana CD I bought in a store in the north side of Chicago (High life Gold??) … thanks form Yves François

  7. OK….a big THANK YOU for this little treat….!!! I also love the new Music Works Kopeyia School recordings…..it’s all a discovery for me Brass band music from Ghana….Ghana has such a lovely rich tradition of music….was very lucky to meet Ko Nimo when he came to England….he told me he played at Monk’s funeral all those years ago….wow!!!….best Veryan
