Super Diamono de Dakar – People, Encore 1987

From over a decade later, this is ‘Super Diamono de Dakar’.
The group has at least two members of Super Jamano, Omar Pene
and Moustapha Fall. Mbalax grew quite a bit older and sounds
very modern here. I always loved track no. 8, live version
of ‘Mam’. Great guitarwork by ‘Lamine Faye’.

tracks;

1 Soweto
2 Mansani Cisse
3 Borom Darou
4 Lou Bax
5 Souboba
6 Artist
7 Mansani Cisse instr.
8 Mam

    Dude!

First you post “Somo Somo,” which I’d been planning to post on my site, and now this one!

Really, you’re doing a great job. Keep up the good work. I’ve also linked you in my sidebar.

Super Diamono has been a favorite ever since I worked in a prison with some Gambians, who introduced me to their favorites during long week-end working hours. Their tapes were slightly worn, but the energy oozing from them was outstanding. Thanks to them, and thanks to you for letting us hear more!

I have eight CD’s of Omar Pene and Super Diamono, two weeks ago I bought this LP album, but I’m really happy with your contribution, because my turntable is one of these tiny, as a toy and it have not a lot of quality reading.
    Thanks Moos.
