Hello¡, beautyful guitars and powerfull winds.

Somebody knows if Zoumana Diarra plays guitar on this record ?
Truly seems ZOU style but in the notes of the album introduced him as a drummer.

Zoumana is a discreet but excelent musician, who ceded his guitar job on the Benkadi International group,to his guest Zani Diabate and play the keyboards at the European concerts, a couple of years ago.

I just stumbled across your site from Likembe. You have a great taste in music, there are some albums like star band and diamono that I thought I would never get to listen to in this lifetime. I am from Trinidad and also appreciate the obscure calypso from the early days. There are indeed several priceless gems within your collection. Thanks for sharing, you have made me very, very happy.

This music was first heard by me a long time ago (1980s) then a couple of weeks ago I found it again on you tube. Oh my God! What power this music has: fantastic 2 guitars, organ, bass, timp, vocals. Absolutely superb. I don’t understand French or any indigenous language sung on this track, but the sheer sound of this makes you fly (if you like it: I don’t like it, I LOVE it.)
Thanks to You Tube modern tech to make such brilliant music available
