Muddy Ibe and his Nkwa Brothers System -“83”
RAS 1983

Muddy Ibe, front

A few weeks ago, I was looking for news in some Amsterdam
recordstores, and found this album by Muddy Ibe.
I couldn’t find out much about Muddy, anybody who can
fill us in on some details ? He’s been called Captain
Muddy Ibe later and is from Nigeria, is all I know.
I blew the recording of this LP two times, but today I
finally made it. Would you think it’s got anything to do
with a spell Muddy put on it ? He’s waving with some powerful
tool there, you never know.

tracks;

1 Ndi aghogho erike
2 Ezi omlime amaka
3 Kwuo ka ira

sounds great. thank you. The planet (outside of those living in nigeria already) can always use MORE nigerian music – bring on the highlife, apala, juju, igbo, etc, etc.

I just got back from a two day recordhunt through Belgium and the Netherlands.
Sorry it took some time for your comments to be published.
But, I can assure you your waiting has not been for nothing, I bought over a hundred LP’s in lots of different stores, from Antwerp to Brussels, via Endhoven, Nijmegen and Arnhem back home.
From sunday the 12th you can expect the first new scores to reach you, stay tuned..
