Michael Prophet – Jah Love, Live & Learn 1983
Let’s start this saturday with some reggae music.
One of Jamaica’s greater singers is without doubt Michael Prophet.
I think he’s been underestimated widely. Ever since I bought
this old record in 1983, I had a weakness for his singing.
Backed by the ‘Hi Times Band’, this is a splendid reggae album.
I used to play these songs a lot back in the 80’s when I had
my weekly reggaenight in a local youthcenter in my town.
It’s time to play ‘It’s time’ one more time. ( track #2 )
tracks;
1 Instruction
2 It’s time
3 Back off
4 2000 years
5 You been talking
6 I certify
7 Tonight tonight
8 Jah love
9 World of confusion

hello moos, as I always fan of your label reggae in your blog, just to congratulate you for all these albums because there are some like me who do not have the opportunity to buy. really thanks and a request or opinion, whether it is possible to clear, well why not put some of reggae woman. Well, I propose this Take Me As I Am by Judy Boucher, is not exactly Jamaican, but by the reggae influence in his native Caribbean.
is just my opinion, and the main reason for the message is thank you and thank you for thinking of people like us.
bless you moss.

Michael Prophet also made some fine recordings with yet another underestimated jamaican buddy, musician and producer Vivian Jackson aka Yabby You whose backing group was called the Prophets! At last, a prophets meeting not leading to a fight!
