Roberto Torres y sus Caminantes
Estan en Buenas Manos, Salsoul 1977

Roberto Torres, front

Times they are changing, nowadays you’d never see an artist
on the cover of his or her CD with a burning cigarette in
their hands. In 1977 this was the most normal thing, and why not ?
Smoking didn’t effect Roberto Torres’ voice, and if it did, it made it
more attractive to my opinion. Later on Torres was known for his
charanga vallenato but on this album he spoils us with some sweet
salsa. Listen to Roberto Torres y sus Caminantes.

tracks;

1 Rapsodia en el solar
2 Que me den de tu salsa
3 No me avergüenzo
4 Los caminantes
5 Y yo lo se
6 Chachareo
7 Dejame en la esquina
8 Cuando tu me quieras
9 Por las cosas de la vida

Yeah, well, it seems nowadays even musicians are supposed to teach us how to beahve properly (musicians, out of all people!). In my country, a very famous rock star has shown public repentence for a great hit he had in the 1980s, where he raged about some woman who dumped him for someone else & said he was so jealous he’d kill her. Now he has banned his own song because it could encourage violence against women (as if someone had ever taken that dumb song seriously)… Mind you, I’m sure he’s quit smoking, too.

    damn right Simone,
I’d say health comes with happiness. If it makes you happy, it’s a healthy thing to do.
listening to Roberto Torres makes me happy, how about you ?
