Sunny Adé and his African Beats – Late General
Ramat Murtala Mohammed, Sunny Alade Records 1976
Here’s a piece of Yoruba Juju History, a Sunny Adé from 1976.
To my humble opinion one of the better albums. Unfortunately
it has some pops and crakcle, I guess it is worth at least a
couple of spins though. Get it and spread it ..
tracks;
1 Late General Murtala Muhammed
– Afemi afemi
– Asa nke
2 Ominu Nkomi
– Ika to to simu
– Odofin bello
– Mo beru agba

Thanks for sharing this! I must say the snap and crackle of the LP is louder than I expected. Sounds like a dusty needle? Anyway, a great album and I’m glad you shared.

[…] had an album called ‘Late General Ramat Murtala Mohammed’ from 1976. You may find it here. Today we have this one by Sonora Gentil and Tabansi Stars International. We have no year of […]
The Murtala Muhammed Tribute is brilliant! The last track on the B side “Mo beru agba” was my money maker as a 9 yr old boy. I 100% got lost in the percussive medley at any party I attended with my parent and I will always end up with money in my pocket!
