Super Negro Bantous -Marriage Promise,Rogers All Stars

Super Negro Bantous, front, cd size

On Rogers All Stars this sweet LP by the Super Negro Bantous.
It is very hard to find some decent information on this group, I’ve
been looking around but did not really find any. Their sound is a
bright and strong sparkling Nigerian highlife with sublime guitar
and rhythms that make you wanna move, so give in and let go.
This Lp must be from around 1983 I guess.
So put aside table and chairs,
these are the Super Negro Bantous!

tracks;

1 Marriage promise
2 When I lost my job
3 Trouble and jealousy
4 Bekosse

    O shucks fooled me.I Clicked on promo before I read the intro…….thought this was a version of Brazzaville’s Les Bantous , Bantous De La Capital, Le Negro Band, Negro Sucess of Bholen, Bavon , Vicky, Boukaka etc. Usually I dont consume Nigerian but I’ll give it a try.

    Just saw your comment on the You&Me blog. It’s shameful this kind of stuff still happens and the perpretators thinks it’s ok.
    Also, you’ve got some good archives here. And, as you tried to say in our brasilian portuguese, “muito feio” of their part.
    Keep up the good work!
