Star Band de Dakar,Soumbaya Musique

Star Band de Dakar, front, cd size

I’ve read somewhere on the internet, Laba Sosseh only sang one
year with the Star Band. Logically this one must be from that year, 1964.
Vocals by Laba Sosseh, Doudou Sow and Magatte N’Diaye.
Somehow it feels like it’s not that old, can anyone shine a light
on this matter ? Not that it is all that important,
it’s the sweetness of this music that matters.
Sorry it has a few minor pops, love this.

tracks;

1 Solla
2 Mamaya Ssima
3 Yena Neckla
4 Yadaque
5 Gualletana
6 Vagane
7 Le lolaye
8 Sigala

Okay Moos, did you ever thought of joining an Anonymous Blogger therapy group ? Seems like you’re hanged on that one. I won’t mind if it was only your problem, but the fact is that you’re putting all of us too on this addiction !!!!

hi august 2008 you posted a star band album with laba sosseh. I do not know how often me sang with the band. and 1964 seems unlikely, did you see that on the vinyl itself? I don’t see it on the sleeve. Most Wonderful Moos, keep on doing what you do, THANKS

I already tried to post my comment: Let me try again. This is vol. 3 in the Star Band discography of the early 1970s (!?), which I’ve never heard before! You can imagine how happy I am.

I suppose that Labah Sosseh came back to sing on this one LP.
