Kenya Partout ! vol.2 – Various Artists
Playa Sound 1976

If you like benga from Kenya, this here record is
for you. It’s a compilation lp from 1976 and contains
tracks by Victoria Jazz Band, DO 7 Band and Inter-
national de Nelly. We had volumes 1,4 and 6 already,
now here’s volume 2. My time is a bit limited at this moment
but later I’ll add the links to the earlier volumes okay ?

Great news – vol 2! Your vol6 was the first LP I ever downloaded from the GG, and I was instantly a fan. There is a warm glow of nostalgia as I start downloading this latest vol! Thank you!

these volumes arrived to my country during the 80s glory days like the 70s in my city Barranquilla in Colombia are highly valued by these melodies for the dancers of the picoteras verbenas of the sound systems of the old school
these melody was christened with the nickname of Rastrillos -“Rake” by the effects of sound in resemblance to the sound produced by the rake (utensil to sweep in Colombia) some of the melodies of kenya, Benga have this feature when listening
for us lovers of African music in Colombia

Greetings Moos… it is true, this zippyshare is starting to fade… the updated “fixed” archive was cut to only 55 MB (the first 7 tracks ok, the 8th – corrupted, the 9-th and 10-th just dissapeared).
