Hi Moos,

I bought that Haiti comp a while back and it is indeed fabulous.
It is true to say that one reason I knew I'd want to buy that CD is because of all the wonderful compas and other Haitian styles you've put up here over the years.

If it wasn't for this blog, I am pretty sure I wouldn't have bought that CD. And there have been so many other cases
Haïti Direct is a magnificent compilation indeed. I'm excited to hear this LP. Thanks!

Yann
..to be honest I must admit it was one of our French visitors that made me aware of this type of music some years ago..haven't heard from him for a long time, are you still there Arnaud ?
Hallo Moos,
My interest for this music started with the Dance!Cadence!-compilation on Globe Style in the mid-eighties.
….and yes, I also bought the Haïti Direct double-lp…. so I'm really looking forward to listening to this one.
Thanks again very much.

Wim
Thank you!
