Zo af en toe kom je er eens eentje tegen, zo’n verzamelaar
met calypso’s die de moeite waard zijn. Dit is er zo een. Wat
Adam en Eva ermee te maken hebben ontgaat me eventjes,
‘alleen voor volwassenen!’ staat er op de achterkant maar dat
is bij calypso geen uitzondering. Hoe dan ook, lekker spul..
Every now and then we find us one, the type of collector
with calypsos really worth a spin. This is such a record. I
have no idea what Adam and Eve have to do with it, ‘for
adults only!’ is written on the backsleeve but that is no
exception in calypso. One way or the other, nice stuff..

Thanks very much! I think probably one for Calypso devotees but for those of us who like this stuff there’s plenty here. For many of these artists these are early recordings which are hard to find.
I’ve always been a big fan of Melody – his lyrical flow has always seemed a step more varied and complex. And its not all innuendo.
