This delightful slice of Senegalese vinyl has no year of
release, but I suspect it to be from somewhere around
1980. Loved Etoile de Dakar ever since I first heard them ..

In a sad note, I don’t know if you heard the news, but Rudy Gomis whose real name is Rodolphe Clément Gomis from the Orchestra Baobab has passed away from a long illness.
May he Rest In Peace.

Sad to hear about monsieur Gomis. We can only hope the great baobab diaspora have it in them to do another tribute set to another lost talent.
