Good morning, as a record collector one takes a look in
stores where ever we go. My wife and I visited New York
City last week. A trip that was on my wish list for a long
time. We went to see the place my mother used to live
between 1920 and 1930. She was born in Brooklyn. On
one day we looked around in Greenwich Village. In East
Village we visited ‘Stranded Records’ where I found three
albums with Om Kalsoum. Today I bring you the first,
‘El Alb Yeshak Kol Gamil’ from 1971. Get it,
spread it and enjoy listening ..

Goeiemorgen, als platen verzamelaar loop je recordstores
binnen waar je ook bent. Mijn vrouw en ik waren vorige
week in New York, dat stond al lang op m’n verlanglijstje.
We zijn het adres gaan opzoeken waar m’n moeder woonde
tussen 1920 en 1930, ze werd geboren in Brooklyn. Op een
dag waren we in Greenwich Village. In East Village vonden
we ‘Stranded Records’ waar ik drie platen van Om Kalsoum
kocht. Vandaag de eerste, ‘El Alb Yeshak Kol Gamil’ uit 1971.
Laad neer, deel met je vrienden en luister met plezier ..
