Good day groovers, we had quite some records with the great
Orchestra Baobab from Senegal. This one comes from a cd.
As you can see on the back, Stern’s Records brought two albums
from 1980 and 1981 on this one cd. Released in 1993.
I’m experiencing some problems with my recording equipment,
that’s why we have cd material today, don’t want you to miss
the GG for too long. Hope you like’m. Get it & Spread it ..

laten zitten. ‘k hoop dat je’m mooi vindt. Down, deel & luister ..

guila isa arés / mouhamadou bamba

everytime I hear the voice of Thione Seck singing above lines, accompanied by the deep grooving Baobab-ers, I’m overwhelmed by the joy of those heavenly sounds

This is a great album that I’ve had for years but have not listened to in awhile. I think it’s time to give it a spin. Highly recommend!

Good morning from Colombia! I just want to leave my observation about this album, the song ´´Sou sedhiou´´ was heard many times in typical dances of the North Coast of Colombia, in the city of Barranquilla in the 80s.

      Good morning Denilson, thank
      you for telling us this,
it is a fun fact ..

These are events that few in the world know about, including Africans themselves. On the northern coast of Colombia, records by dozens of artists and groups from the black continent can still be heard. I have worked on my YouTube channel to maintain the legacy that the dances left us in the late 60s until toda!
