Pepe Kalle & Empire Bakuba
Le Tube de vos Vacances : Liya Liya Faina
SIMS 1990

Pepe Kalle, front, cd size

It’s only just wednesday evening but if you put on this record, volume
up, you’ll be dancing around the room in no time. Pepe Kalle’s soukous
rocks like no other and sitting is just no option with this album.
Just down it, put it on, and get up from that chair..
By the way, the trackorder on the backsleeve is different from
the label. I believe the last one.

tracks;

1 Liya liya faina
2 Ekofo
3 Djamaica
4 Mandja

    Peppe Kalle & Empire Bakuba brings back those good memories with nostalgia!In Liya Liya Faina he is singing of a lady (from Rwanda) in Kiswahili this endeared him more to East Africans. The strong beat he gave to the music makes it possible for one to shake the leg even if you do not understand the language. He died too soon… otherwise we would still be dancing to nice music.
    BTW..this is the best music blog that ever happened on the Net!

    Thanks for the Pepe Kalle & Empire Bakuba. His music was joyful and full of ambiance. It was died too soon, he brought a lot of joy to Congolese Music and we will miss that.
