From 1981 we’ve got this album with Kanda Bongo Man
today. The great Diblo Dibala takes care of the lead guitar
parts on this record. Entertaining soukous, not stirred up
too much, it has a certain mellowness over it. Pleasant
Sunday afternoon listening here ..

Shortly we had an album with them under the name
Ambiance Akasavougou, but the most common name
they used was Minzoto Wella-Wella. This one is on
Eddy’Son Consortium Mondial and from 1979. A very
danceable little disc you’ll surely like.

l’Orchestre Minzoto Wella Wella was an offshoot of
Minzoto ya Zaïre. They made one album under the
name Ambiance-Akasavougou as far as I know. Today
we find this record in pretty good shape. Delightful
Congolese rumba / cavacha you may well appreciate.

Good morning, today we find a Congolese artist we
haven’t seen here before. The album is from 1984, on
IAD, l’Industrie Africaine du Disque. Names we’ve seen
before are Freddy Kebano and Jeff Louna among others.
The record opens with rumba/soukous and moves to a very
mellow sound, sometimes more pop related, but overall a
solid listen. I’d say, get it and spread it ..

Goeiemorgen mensen, vandaag hebben we een Congolese
artiest die we nog niet eerder zagen. De plaat stamt uit 1984,
op IAD, l’Industrie Africaine du Disque. Namen die we eerder
zagen zijn Freddy Kebano en Jeff Louna onder anderen. Het
album opent met rumba/soukous en vervolgt met een zeer
relaxed geluid, soms meer pop gerelateerd, maar over het

Ik ben geen groot fan van Koffi Olomide’s latere platen.
Zijn vroege werk daarentegen is een stuk aantrekkelijker.
Volgens Discogs is dit zijn eerste album uit 1983, opgenomen
onder mentorschap van Joski Kiambukuta in Studio Madeleine
in Brussel. Deze plaat is zeker enkele omwentelingen waard.
Luister en kijk wat jij ervan vindt ..

I must say Koffi Olomide’s later work is not my favourite.
His early works are, to my humble opinion, a lot more interesting.
According to Discogs this is Koffi’s first album from 1983, recorded
under advisory of Joski Kiambukuta in Studio Madeleine in Brussels.
This record is worth at least a couple of spins, listen
and make up your own mind ..

We meet Gaby Lita Bembo on this album from 1983
on which we find no Orchestre Stukas. He appears with
some musicians, I think from Belgium. It was recorded in
Bruxelles. The sound is much funkier then we’re used to
with Lita Bembo. Quite danceable music, check it ..

Stars Magnats. Monza debuted with Les Choc Stars in 1985. The
record features local musicians such as Theo Mougemba. Four
tracks of relaxed Congolese rumba/soukous, bright percussion,
electric guitar rhythm with accent on the second beat and Monza’s
soft vocals. Original Congolese release, get it & spread it ..

Hoi daar, wat vinden we in de platenkast vandaag ? Deze plaat met
