An oldie from Guadeloupe 1968 today. Les Vikings play several styles
on this album, Cadence Rampa, Tumbélé and Compas among others.
Mostly instrumental but with some vocal parts here and there.
Sweet summer atmosphere that makes us very happy..Vandaag een oudje uit 1968 Guadeloupe. Les Vikings spelen hier
diverse stijlen, Cadence Rampa, Tumbélé en Compas oneder andere.
Grotendeels instrumentaal maar ook wel wat vokale flarden zo hier en
daar. lekker zomers spul waar we blij van worden..tracks ;

Goeiemiddag, voor vele van u staat de vakantietijd weer voor de deur.
Zelf ben ik juist drukker rond deze tijd van het jaar, ieder het zijne hè..
Toch brengen we vandaag een plaatje met de titel, fijne vakantie.

Ryco-Jazz was founded by Henri Bowane in 1958. The name was
composed from Rythme Congolais, Ry-Co in short. From 1960 to
1964 they toured west Africa and later moved to Martinique where
they were very popular. Their styles varied from tumbele, biguine,
bolero and rumba. Back in Paris in 1971 the group splits up and
spreads. Jean Serge Essous for instance went back to join Les
Bantous de la Capitale..enjoy..tracks;
