Le Grand Maître Franco avec Ntesa Dalienst
et le T.P.O.K. Jazz, ASM 1987

Only very few artists can hold your attention like this one.
Le Grand Maitre Franco made about 200 LP’s and I haven’t heard
a bad one. Of course I did not hear all of them but keep trying to
get there. Untill today the score runs around 40 or 50, and I hope to
find as many as possible in the future. This one, ASM 002 from a
Belgium company is with singer/composer Ntesa Dalienst who
wrote numerous songs for and with the T.P.O.K. Jazz.

tracks;

1 Mamie Zou
2 Batandeli ngai mitambo
3 Dodo
4 Na lobi na ngai rien

    You’re absolutely right, I don’t think that Franco ever made an album that was not absolutely great. Anxiously looking forward for the download to finish. Thanks for posting this!

    Hello, Do you have anything by paul ngozi or ngozi family? I know the reissues but there is so much more out there:

    most if not all of it is impossible to find on cd or vinyl.

    Btw: there’s a slight error in the download link (an extra slash), it should be http://www.mediafire.com/?wqdniwkznda.

    I think this makes 49 albums by Franco in my collection, although I did delete the Mobutu election campaign album. While I prefer the early 70s music, all his output is impossible to refuse, just as a request from Mobutu may have been.

    Moos;

    I “reconstructed” this LP from a bunch of tired old MP3s I found here and there, so it will be nice to hear a better copy. Thanks in advance!

    I know Moos we have a policy here ‘If the Lp has some cracks,
    we leave them’ & usually they add to the atmosphere. Just wondered….on trk. 4 (Na lobi..) at 5m 50secs it seems to jump back then play through the area it just jumped on OK. Just wondered if there was a bit of grit stuck on the LP that cleared away or is the LP permanently damaged? As usual very grateful for an Franco LP.
