Verckys et l’Orchestre Vévé -Lassissi présente, EditionsVévé/Sacodis 1979

Verckys, front

Subject of today’s post is this LP by Verckys et l Órchestre
Vévé. It appears on ‘Editions Vévé International’ in collaboration
with ‘Sacodis’. In their series ‘Lassissi présente’ it is LS 65 and
on Editions Vévé it is EVVI 11D. It feels like one of those
albums that will stay forever. Timeless rocksolid
rumba-rock from Congo’s wonderful
seventies, damn good.

tracks;

1 Dribling ya somo
2 Djumani
3 Obaluki
4 Espoir perdu

  1. when recording, I found out they had switched tracks 2 and 3. track 3 was obviously djumani and not obaluki. I took the liberty of renaming them so now the track order is excactly like on the sleeve. On the actual lp it is wrong but who cares..I just wanted to let you know..

  5. I have another VeVe album with this same picture of Verckys in his leather pants. It has long been one of my favorite albums, but this one, if possible, is even better. I’ve never heard it before. It’s just one of the best ever. Wow. Somehow I’ve missed this, but thanks to you I get a chance to listen.
