Olomide – Ngobila,Afro Rythmes

Olomide, front

Good evening groovers, happy new year. Last night I watched
a fantastic show at BBC 2 television. I had enough wild party’s
in my life and the annual hootenanny with Jools Holland is a
program I always watch when I’m at home newyears eve. He
always has the most wonderful guests, young and older talent
are brought together. It’s a joy to see so many super happy
people enjoying all that marvelous music played alive. The
Dutch new years evening shows can’t compare with this
Brittish masterpiece of TV-making. It is my deepest
wish to, you never know, some day be able to join
that crowd at Jools’ annual show. I can’t imagine
a better party than that one. Do you have
that inside connection ?

Meantime, what have
we got cooking for y’all today ?
Koffi Olomide’s first lp at this page.
Listen and tell me..

tracks;

1 Ngobila
2 Ouragan
3 Apostolu ya bolingo
4 Djema top-model

Hi, Thank you very much for this fabulous LP. What a wonderful way to start the new year! Rigo Star rocks, and you can hear the TPOK influence that Josky brings. This is Koffi before he became really famous (and dare I say it, before he became lighter).

Fantastic music. Nice to see Kofi Olomide without bling. In my opinion, this is Rigo Star’s album – others just sang along. Don’t miss. Apurva from Pune, India.

    I concur with Norio above
The kind of music Kofi plays nowadays does not appeal to me at all.
I have loved this LP for a long time
    thanks

Hate to tell you, but Jools HOlland’s Hootenany is filmed in the middle of December – so all that New Years jollity is all faked. Great album though!

    Moos,

Just to let you know that I listen to the second half of the first song (past 7’15”) – several tens of times every single day. I should be working now, but instead, am doing something else :-)

Had this been an LP, it would have worn through by now.

I am personally indebted to you for the treasure of music that you have shared with all of us.
