Tout Choc, Anti Choc
Zaïko Langa-Langa – Nkolo Mboka vol. 1
C.I.D. / Disco Stock 1983

We already had a ‘Nkolo Mboka Vol. 1’ in may 2011, the one we have
today however is another volume 1. It contains two songs from the other
and two different songs. Today’s entry has no year of release but I trust
it must be 1983 as well. ‘Sans espoir’ and ‘Mopaya zoba’ are the same,
tracks two and three are different. It all sounds very good,
worth a couple of spins, listen..

titels ;

01 – Sans espoir
02 – Kamangu
03 – Bolingo aveugle
04 – Mopaya zoba

Thanks Moos this a great album by Zaiko Langa Langa from 1982-1983 before the Zekete Zekete peroid (1983-1985) I’ve feeling that they’ve been developing the dance zekete but Zaiko is one of the best surviving bands in Congo, still waiting patiently for more rare Congolese albums from 1984-1993.

Hi Moos, something funny again. I was checking some older posts and found a record of Simon ‘Chopper’ Chimbetu you put in 2010 on line. You stated that you found this piece of vinyl in Gent. Can it be that you bought it in the vynilla record shop ? Then the chances are big that you purchased some Zimbabwean stuff including the boterekwa record that were supplied by me. I used to bring loads of Jit and Sanguru records when I used to visit Belgium. I bought them straight from Gramma,RTP, and Zim records in Msasa, the industrial site of Harare. The world might be smaller then we think. Anyway it is just lack of time that stops me from thoroughly exploring your fantastic site. I always discover lost memories. Thanks for the Zaiko record. Rik
