Various Artists – Fiesta Vallenata,
Globe Style 1986
This is Vallenata, Northern Colombian Pop.
That means songs of love, partying and social comment,
of local heroes and histories, but most of all it means dancing.
My favorite songs, “India Matea” by Miguel Duran, and
“Lo Mas Sabroso” by Jimmy Pedroso.
tracks;
1 Rusbell Chimenti/Orlando Jimenez – Triste despedida
2 Julio de la Ossa – La envidiosa
3 Morgan Blanco – Camino verde
4 Jimmy Pedrozo/Franklin Ariza – Lo mas sabroso
5 Julio de la Ossa – Puno molio
6 Joaquin Sanchez y su conjunto – Maria Elena
7 Luis Tobio/Vicente Iguita – Ahora y siempre
8 Jimmy Pedrozo – Sirvientas modernas
9 Joaquin Sanchez y su conjunto – Tu cosita
10 Miguel Duran y su conjunto – India matea
11 Luis Tobio/Vicente Iguita – Bella cascada
12 Luis Tobio/Vicente Iguita – El triunfador

Hello moos,
My 400Gb hard drive with all your downloads (and other things) crashed hard. It’s the first time I’ve heard a drive make grinding sounds. At first, I thought the blades of the fan in my computer were hitting something. Oh well, so here I am starting all over again. But I don’t mind. I will just be sure to make a better backup this time.
Anyway, this link seems to be defunct, or at least rapidshare says it can’t find the link. The link is pretty old, so if you don’t have it, it’s OK. :)
Thanks for all the time & care you put into your uploads with the high-quality format (320 kbps VBR) and the high-resolution scans)! I love learning about different kinds of music, and that happens here a lot…

[…] In 1986 Globestyle released the album ‘Fiesta Vallenata’, part of the series ‘Accordions that shook the world’. it contains a few songs that captured me from the very start. Lo mas sabroso by Jimmy Pedrozo & Franklin Ariza struck me like lightning. I had never heard such music before and it was more or less the beginning of my search for more. The lp is available here. Every couple of days I come check your amazing site, and I’m always inspired by new and exiting stuff, nowhere else to found. Thank you very much for the immense work you do, for all us to enjoy. And you’ve got the overall best download-engine I’ve ever encountered. You are very generous!
