Keletigui et ses Tambourinis -Le Retour, Editions Syliphone Conakry 1976

Here’s one more requested post, but remember I don’t have much of
this stuff. My copy of this rare LP looks so brand new, and still
I can’t seem to find any signs of it being re-released. It must
be a collectors-item in mint condition. Or I’m just being plane
stupid, that happens sometimes.
This sweet album was recorded in 1976.
It takes you on a West-African trip, you won’t forget !

tracks;

1 Maxi mirimagni
2 Maderi
3 Dembati
4 Sökhö
5 Kassimagni
6 Kebakele

Moos, you asked where I get my music. I might ask you the same!
Fantastic that you have this and the classic Super Diamono albums. That latter one I have been seeking for a long time.

Been meaning to drop you a line. A million thanks for this and a hundred others. Impeccable taste in many styles. Every post a treat. Best music blog on the net…

Keep ’em coming for all us greedy fans who don’t have the financial resources to ‘collect’ in the traditional way.

Hey moos. I just stumbled upon your blog. Fantastic! How about the track Maxi mirimagni? Epic! The rest of the LP is nice, but that track is a real standout IMO.

Thanks a lot for these Syliphone albums. I have some of the recent reissued compilations on CD, but these vinyl albums sound more authentic!
    Cheers

It could be that your copy near mint condition is one of these several hundreds which was found by Günter Gretz in Conakry in the Eighties.

When I’ve met him 15 years ago on the African Festival, where he has had a store I’ve bought 15 different syliphone records, all in mint, for each 5 € the piece, but not this one of Keletigui Et Ses Tambourinis. But I still remember that he has had it, and many many other more.
Unfortunately Günter Gretz has never cashed the check which I have given to him…
I’m very glad that I’ve found now one of the missed Syliphones here. Thank you so much.

Wow: I have a pretty decent collection of Keletigui, but haven't got these. Keletigui Traore and his rival, Balla, are among my favorites. Thanks very much!

Bedankt Moos! You probably already have this one (ReeBee certainly does), but as the five year old link is still live, I thought I'd let you know:

http://luckypsychichut.blogspot.com/2009/12/keletigui-et-ses-tambourinis-45-tours.html

Cheers, Dave Sez.

Was lucky enough to finally find a copy of this, but mine also looks brand new, so I was skeptical. But still was not able to find any information about a repress, so maybe just lucky us.

Hi, the mp3 audio is dated as 1964, but the album is officially from 1976.
    A correction or an error?

Yes, you’re right, strange and absolutely an error..
I’ll have to correct and re-up,
      thanks Ngoni..
