4 Stars – Dance,Tangent / Mélodie
Okay okay, anonymous visitors cry out for more 4 Stars. So here’s another
one for you. Again we have no year on this album, if you know ?
The pictures on this LP’s cover are made in the Paris Rex Club.
I visited the Rex Club once around 1981, it was in the Rue des Bonnes
Nouvelles I remember. Hey Paris people, does that club still exist
at all ? I would love to go back to that specific night, just my 3
friends and me in an all African crowd. They had Mr. and Mrs. elections,
lots of African dancemusic, we had a great time.

I saw the 4 stars in London when this LP came out & they were a revelation. I had never seen a band so out to give the audience a good time, extend a number out till just the right moment when the audience where delirious then go straight into another song. Man did they get some stage invasions of dancers that night. I bought this LP in the foyer & remember being so disapointed when I got home. It was good but it wasn’t what I had just seen & I wanted that! I grew to love it later though I thank you for bringing it back to life.
