I heard the second song ‘Madjesi’ several tens of times end to end and always got kicked by the subtle guitar that starts at 2’40”. Haven’t gone past the seconds song yet…
    A must download and listen!
Thank you Moos. Apurva from Pune, India.

    Moos,

Ya solo yo ozali ndeko. Ata obotami na mpoto, yo oyebi malamu miziki ya bato bayindo. Ozali «Elombe na mindule».

(You are a true brother. Even if you were born in Europe, you understand African music very well. You are a music champion.)

Thanks for all the goodies. That Album by Trio Madjesi is out of this world. So is the rare music by Verckys. You’re the best.

Thank you SO much for this fantastic blog and all the great albums you have presented us all.

I live in Finland and it’s very difficult to find those kind of african albums here. I love african music, especially congolese rumba/soukous and all higlife. Although I have managed to get me african music collection about 500 albums (and it wasn’t easy here, believe me), you have managed to present me so many albums and artists I didn’t even know that existed.

And you have presented many albums I also have in my own shelf. Like
this Trio Madjesi I allready had and it’s a great and fun album.

I just can’t thank you enough!
Please keep on doing the good job.
