S.B.B. du Congo – l’International Orchestre Populaire
Pathe Marconi / EMI 1975
It’s cold in the Netherlands, with some 8 degrees Celsius below zero,
the coldest day untill now. The whole country is covered with snow,
cold but beautiful. This is a picture of my backyard from this morning.
Quite a contrast with the warm tropical atmosphere on this nice record.
It’s from 1975 and I can’t tell you very much about it. S.B.B. du Congo
stands for Super Boboto du Congo and exists from 1968.
Track No 5 has a little jump I could not avoid unfortunately.
tracks;
1 Okomi na fanfan
2 Felie
3 Barou barou
4 Scandale
5 Ebale ya Congo
6 Ebonga ebonga te toujours meilleur
7 Moungagniga
8 Maladie ya bolingo

Dear Moos,
While this is downloading, I want to take some time to thank you for sharing so much great music with us. It’s been less than half a year since I first found your blog, but in those few months I’ve discovered a wealth of artists, albums and even musical genres I never knew existed. I dare not think of the countless hours you must have spent hunting, ripping and uploading all these records, but I am very grateful for it.
Merry Christmas and best wishes for the new year to you and your loved ones.
Marc

Hi Moos!
I wouldn’t call myself a naggin’ woman easily ;) but I do have my ‘periods’ …
If you ask me about my favourite music style the answer would most likely be reggae but the strange thing is that 2 months can easily go by without playing a single reggae tune.. It must be the suddenly intruding cold in Holland but last days it’s pure the deepest dark reggae that sounds out my speakers here .. and this also includes trippin’clickin’ through your previous reggae monster compilations …
I feel like naggin’ after all with all this amazing posts but I just don’t see much reggae lately and I’m starting to wonder about the reggae part of your musical heart .. Cheers from Rotterdam!

Thanks Marc, Best wishes to you too. Gonzalez, I am an absolute reggae-lover but somehow everytime I am asked to remove music from my page, it concerns reggae music. Not so long ago, november 27, It was the first time to post reggae since a long time, Junior Byles was the lucky one. I used my paralelpage Ramdog’s Roughsite for some time to post reggae but decided to bring it back here. I’ll try to throw in an occasional Jamaican treasure, thanks for reminding me ! greetings..
