La “Mus”. Africa,Sacodis 197?

La 'Mus' Africa, front, cd size

Let’s extend that partyfeeling a bit more, it’s a good thing these
slices of pie can stand a little waiting. They only get more tasty
after a while. Take this here LP, another one for the Sacodis list
Bo. You know I’m a good recordhunter but a lousy writer, I envy
guys like my collegue Stefan who can really tell you something
useful about the matter. I found this real nice album in a treasure-
box with some brothers and sisters and it’s like nobody has ever
taken it from it’s sleeve, it spins like a new one and holding that
heavy carton cover always makes me real happy.
Cheers Folks !

tracks;

1 Atanazaudo kombo nangai
2 Marica
3 Kesse
4 Mobali yakoloba

Hey now Moos, that is absolutely wonderful! Again you bring rabbit horns and turtle fur! Yup you are one hell of a hunter and good provider for the hungry ears, and it is true that Stefan both writes and talks with style ;-) But I like what you write as well, when you describe your findings there is no doubt that the music is more important than the hunting! But both are interdependent of course!

    Again, Thank you very much!

    Bo

Congolese music at it’s very best, thank you very much!
I wonder who the singers and musicians are, they’re clearly of the OK Jazz-school.
    BTW, happy anniversary!

Not that much info on this, apparently. AmbianceCongo aired the track “Marica” in the July 19th show from last year and speculated that this was an OK Jazz nzongzing. Read some speculation in the Vibes d’Afrique forum that this Sacodis release (LS-44) and the Celi Bitchou release (LS-46) may have had some personnel in common.

I wonder if the Mus Africa had common personnel with another great Sacodis album, AMBIANCE A KASAVOUGU (LS 42)?

Very very good music, & I commend you on your good tastes.
