OK Jazz – Authenticité,african 1964
Next in the never ending story of the great Franco’s repertoire
is the first from OK Jazz’s ‘Authenticité’ series. it contains recordings
from 1960 to 1962. Singers are Mulamba ‘Mujos’ and Munsi ‘Kwami’.

and Musekiwa ‘Isaac’ – tenor saxophone, Albino – alt saxophone, Bosuma
‘Dessoir’ – tumbas and Luambo ‘Franco’ solo guitar and lead vocals.
The cover speaks of 1960/62 but the label of ’62, ’63 and ’64, anyway,
sparkling material by Congo’s greatest of all time, enjoy it.

It seems this LP was posted by one of the other blogs not long ago. It happens. Sometimes I know and sometimes I don’t. It is my choice to make my own rip of my own copy in my own quality, you might think this is unnecessary, I don’t. It is not the idea to post something a respected collegue already did but some albums just need to appear, period. No need to tell me I’m not the first, thanks.
… But in terms of quality, variety and good taste in Congo music, you are decisively the best. Thanks so much for posting!
have you seen this, you vinyl lover ?

that’s very cool Arnaud, added it to the link list, cheers man..
Dude, sorry if I offended you by letting you know that another blogger posted the same tracks, it just occurred to me to me that you may not have known about that other website.
and with that, I go back to being a lurker, never to comment again …
– Steve
That’s a real shame Steve. I assume you never meant to offend anyone, I am sorry if my reaction was too harsh. You couldn’t have known but one of the other visitors had to tell me all the time I was second to post anything.
That annoyed me a lot and now you are victimized, I am sorry too dude ! please do comment.
I like watching the play count in itunes swell up. Too bad I’ve to delete the other copy (which most tracks are in double digits in a week) but this is much better quality. So, totally worth it.
Thanks.
Thank you Moos. I appreciate you sharing this album.
