André Pamomiel – Tedy,Kvir 1103
I never heard anything by Andre Pamomiel untill this record.
I got interested reading the names of Mpassi Jo, Ringo Star
and Jean-Serge Essous. After hearing it there was no way
back. It would find it’s way to you sooner or later. Great
material for a little thursdaynight dance,
get this happy stuff while you can..
tracks;
1 Tedy na nga
2 Na zangui mobali
3 Horoscope
4 Caro na ponton

Again you have posted an excellent record. This one has been played a number of times on my radio program for many years.
You will find Andre Pamomiel’s name and voice on a large number of Congolese (Brazzaville) recordings from the 80s, may times singing backup.
I have other records that bear his name on the sleeve, but this is by far my favorite.
Highly recommended!
This is excellent – play more of this type of Congolese music please. And the master guitarist is Rigo Star – thats the correct name. Apurva from Pune, India.
I know you’re right Apurva, I just copy from the cover on which they already made the mistake..
Honestly your blog is one of the most fantastic resources I’ve ever found on the internet. So much amazing material. Thank you for everything you’ve done here.
Hey Moos,
I’m a newcomer to your blog and to the music bloglang in general, yeah I know it was about time! I love music from all around the world, especially music from Congo since I lived part of my childhood there and everybody who has lived there would tell you it is a lifetime experience. Anyway, I’m digressing and I just wanted to let you know how I was blown away when i discover your blog. What an incredible job you have done! This is more than a blog, that’s a sheer and significant contribution to world culture! Thank you very much to do this. While I’m writing this message, I’m listening this massive André Pamoniel’s LP and start thinking there maybe a bad side-effect to all this great music you are sharing: it gives me even more frustration not to be able to go to big fairs in search of hot african LPs!!! Never mind, I’ll use your blog as methadone!
Again, many many thanks!
Alx
great post one more time, thank you so much!
Good record, like DJ Daudi, I have this one too.
