Les Ambassadeurs du Motel
Sonafric 1976

Les Ambassadeurs, front

Promised Arnaud to post some ‘kompa’ but every time
I start listening it just doesn’t get to me like it does to you.
Shame and scandal in the family, really sorry but I need some
time to get there. Meanwhile I’ll post something that you might like
aswell although quite different. From Mali we have Les
Ambassadeurs with Salif Keita and Kanté Manfila, it’s a
Sonafric release from 1976.
Got the music but no got no info, wanna try anyway ?

tracks;

1 Diandjon
2 Wara
3 Kibaru

Kompa can seem “too Haitian” at first, but grows on you. However, Its not as easily assessable as its cousins cadence-lypso or zouk.

    Thanks Moos.

    hum… hum… Moos ! You’re making a mistake, I’m not THE one-style-music guy.
    ;-)
A French poet named Jacques Prévert said once : The love of music is the shortest way to the music of love. (by the way, he said the love of music, not the love of samba, ahahaha….)
Anyway, don’t worry for me, I’ve got all the music I need and come back again around here to try our delicious seafood.
