Spécial 3eme Anniversaire

Michel Boyibanda was a member of OK Jazz in the
seventies. This is one with Les Rumbaya International.
Wonderful voice, great band. A couple of familiar faces
on the front sleeve, Tabu Ley and … do you recognize
any ? Meantime listen to
this terrific album.

    michel Boyibanda was born february 22,1940in MAKOUANGA ((congo ) ;Michel boyibanda after a happy chilhood in this beautiful village drowned in the cocaotrees ; the young BOYIBANDA ouesso up to where he completed his primary
    His certificate of primary education basic in hand he discusses in brazzaville and dolisie , agricultural studies he renounces , quick to start body and soul in the great musical adventure
    On april 7 ; 1958 ,he shared with some friends , the passion of life kinshasa. It binds to jean MOKUNA ” baguin ” and franklin boukaka to give birth nov 18 , 1958 in the bar dansing ” DOMINGO ” in kinshasa , the orchestra NEGRO BAND
    After two years of existence (1960 ) , all moved to brazzaville .The followers of the famous rumba ” odemba” find a set for the future .Hence the temptation to compare it , incorrectly in OK JAZZ , from its earliest productions
    August 1963 , following the vaccum left by the departure of singer BUKASA “jojo”” Bantu of the orchestra , that BOYIBANDA has the merit of replacing it .It is basedon a band quickly became a powerful and excellent tenor .It deploys with joseph Mulampa “mujos ” who joined in 1964 , a charming melodic sensibility and poetry .Intoxicated by succes , michel boyibanda arrived april 18 , 1964 in OK JAZZ .In 1968 michel part of OK JAZZ musicians who rebel to go train , led by denis LONONO impresario , orchestra “revolution “which lasted only the space of one year .In july 1969 , michel boyibanda rejoined without too much difficulty OK JAZZ .In november 1978 michel that turns its back on this together to form the band brazzaville “RUMBAYA” three brothers’ YOULOU MABIALA , LOKO MASSENGO and him , but that band duration as a flower ….
    Since then ; michel decided to go it alone , before creating the early 80’s, his own band “EBOUKA system ” through a series of musical instruments offered by a big boss .The experience resulted in an unfortunately unsuccessful.After decades of solo career , saxophonist max michel boyibanda massengo and returned to good feelings for exhumed since 7 , 2010 , the orchestra of their first love NEGRO BAND , under the auspices of ANYTHA NGAPY music producer with the key , the album ” VANITY OF VANITIES ” Look that the orchestra NEGRO BAND , new formula for max michel BOYIBANDA Massengo and is doing well .
