Bopol Mansiamina – The Original Innovation
Star Musique

Bopol, front

Let me tell you straight, this is a masterpiece. I think this
must be Bopol’s best lp ever, damn..I love it. With Nyboma’s
wonderful vocals, Dally on guitar and Bopol on bass, bloody
brilliant. I need to tell you something else. It’s not the first time
that while listening to the music it becomes clear they mixed up
the titles. track one is ‘Cardiaque ya l’amour’ and track two
is obvious ‘Décèption motema’. Both sleeve and label state
the other way around. I changed the tracklist and put it in
the order it is on the actual vinyl, seemed logic, enjoy.

tracks;

1 Cardiaque ya l’amour
2 Décèption motema
3 Issa touré
4 Papy ozonga

This music puts me in a dance-trance. It gets better the more I listen to it and it is hard to stay still. Thank you.

Never seen this one, though i have all his records with Orchestre Mode Succes. I would tag Innovation Vol.1 – Orchestre Mode Succes – Star Musique SMP 6026 as his best record. Thanks Moos.

Bopol always made excellent albums especially during the Golden Age of Congolese Music, he’s indeed the innovator, versatile rhythm guitar player and also plays stunning bass as well.

The first three titles appear on another album with Nyboma called Deception Motema.
The fourth song on that one is called S.S. Sans Souci.
I will have to listen to see if these are possibly the same songs!

Thank you. Although I’ve only listened to a few other albums of his, this is the best one I’ve heard.

Hello Moos, it seems this album is actually Innovation 05 from Nov 12 2011. Is there any way that you could repost in the future? I could never thank you enough for everything you do. Best regards, Q.
