Seigneur Tabu Ley et l’Afrisa International
Rochereau à Abidjan Vol. III
INA / Disco Stock 1980
Tomorrow we’ll already live the shortest day of the year in
this part of the world. Winter begins officially but we’ll gain
a couple of minutes of light every day again and that’s very
nice. Also very nice is today’s post, Rochereau à Abidjan Vol. III
gets its turn and that completes the three volumes. I think
these albums sound just fantastic with yet another song
by Kiesse Diambu, one by Diasi Kadi and two by the late
and great Pascal Tabu Ley himself. Get it & spread it..
tracks;
01 – Tanga tanga
02 – O’hambe
03 – Fololo ya gancia
04 – Nakolanda te

Thanks for the post! Unfortunately, Tabu Ley, Diassi Kadi, and Kiesse Diambu are all deceased. Diasi Kiadi departed from Afrisa in 1986 to join guitarist Dino Vangu and released a solo LP in 1991 under the production of Kanda Bongo Man, his fellow colleague in Orchestre Bella Bella. He also participated in the classic Lagos Night Megamix by Soukous Stars (1989).
What year did diassi died
Thanks, Moos!
As far as I’m concerned, most of the cookie-cutter, latterday French soukous with its self-congratulatory singer/leaders who won’t shut up are dead. Not Rochereau. He’s deathless.
LMAO Rochereau is dead
Very hot {Bulls
Thanks for the post
