David Bowie – Hunky Dory
RCA Victor 1971

David Bowie, voorkant

David Bowie, achterkant

Een van m’n jeugdhelden overleed gisteren.
Dit is denk ik de plaat die ik het meest gedraaid heb.

A childhood heroe passed away yesterday.
One of my most precious albums is this one.

R.I.P. David..

it is a natural way to die, but…
he was always around, like a chameleon, he has accompanied my life, from ziggy, station to station, til the crystals in the nomad world…
I’ ll miss you, so much, my hero

Thanks Moos, I heard the news at 07:15 this morning and within 5 minutes I was playing Hunky Dory, crying for what has passed and celebrating what is still with us. We won’t see the like of David Bowie again.

There will never be another like him. One of the last greats. Still trying to make sense of his loss :(

Listen to his last/new album if you haven’t already. It’s a masterpiece.

I’m also a big Bowie fan Moos – and what a great album Hunky Dory is. Thanks for paying respect to David. He’s at rest now.
