Verckys présente le Grand Père Bozi Boziana
& Anti Choc, Editions Vévé International
EVVI 67, 1986
Again we have an album by Bozi Boziana & Anti Choc and
again we don’t find any relevant info at the sleeve. No year
of release, no album title to search for and on the world wide
web I can’t seem to find anything as well. One way or the other,
we do have the music to listen to which is the most important part.
tracks ;
01 – kokoti
02 – Ya kele
03 – Tshaly
04 – Wabi

Thanks very much! I haven’t been able to find this one. Its likely this is 1986 before the arrival of guitarist Dodoly ‘the sewing machine’ in early 87 (who left again with Djonolo mid the same year, before coming back around a year later)
As for links on the internet:
There’s a good discography (in order, but without dates) here

This one gives a good overview of the band

Thanks much, Moos. You continue to provide the best source for this great, all too neglected music on the Web. And away from the Web, too, unless you’re a collector blessed with the funds to travel to the marts and buy everything you want.
Do you (or anybody, really) know why Verckys got out of the music-making business? I understand he found fund bands, record production and distribution more financially satisfying than working either as a sideman or leading his own truly fine one. But I’ve wondered for some time where he went after he left the field.
In any case, thanks again!
Thanks, Thanks, Thanks, Thanks, Thanks very much.
What’s up, Sometimes your nav bar disappears on my iPad, I figured you may like to know.
