Over the years we had a lot of records concerning Zaïko
Langa-Langa, off-springs and albums with singers or musicians
that worked with them. This one from 1984 has been waiting
for a long time. The backsleeve is quite damaged and its
overall quality could have been better. The music however
is very much worth listening to. With singers Bimi Ombale,
J.P. Buse, Mondiale & Adios Alemba. Musicians are Popolipo,
Ivon, Oncle Dupuis, Meridjo, Ditutala & Nzenze. Enjoy ..
Door de jaren hadden we al aardig wat platen met, of gerelateerd
aan, Zaïko Langa-Langa, off-springs en platen van zangers of
mu- zikanten die met hen werkten. Deze is uit 1984 en heeft lang
gewacht. De hoes is achterop flink beschadigd en de hele kwaliteit
van het album had beter gekund. De muziek is daarentegen zeer
de moeite van het beluisteren waard. met zangers Bimi Ombale,
J.P. Buse, Mondiale & Adios Alemba. Muzikanten zijn Popolipo,
Ivon, Oncle Dupuis, Meridjo, Ditutala & Nzenze. luister ..

A few comments for any Zaiko lineup watchers like myself.
This is one of those albums with a bit of a mixed lineup. It doesn’t include all of the prominent band members of the day (notably absent are ‘bandleader’ Nyoka Longo, guitarists Zamuangana+Matima, drummer Ilo Pablo, singer Lengi-Lenga, animators Nono Monzuluki+Bebe Atalaku). There’s also no Dindo Yogo who joined in 84 and became the dominant vocalist over the next period.
Who it does include though – It is one of only a couple of albums to feature Adios Alemba. Also present is the animator Ditutala, who later went on to Choc Stars (I think his only appearance with Zaiko?). Also Mafuta Mondiale who I also think joined Zaiko only really a few years later.
Mafuta Mondiale was in reserve band called orchestra Oka it was playing the same as Zaïko many artists were there like drummer Djudjuchet, Kibwa Rocoulet, and Motingia who plays bass the list is long.
Bonsoir, je suis à la recherche d’un album rare , un NZONG NZING de JP BUSE , c’est l’album “reconcilliation” sortie en 1987 ou 1988 , il y avait un titre “l’amour du prochain” de jp buse, Julia (beniko) plus tard repris dans QUARTIER LATIN de l’album “MAGIE” , pouvez-vous me trouver cet oeuvre svp ? Merci par avance
