I’d forgotten about some of these tracks. Awesome. Bringing back strong memories of listening to this for the first time during multiple power outages one particular night in Serrekunda many many moons ago with long lost aquaintances. Serendipitous
This album deserves to listen carefully, especially Kankelenti according to the notes of Florent Mazzoleni, collaborates on the piano Ray Lema, truly Ray is a bit lost within the Mandingo style …
I prefer the other version of Kanken-tigui from the previous album posted, S.K. & Ambassadeurs -Badmos (BIR 009), despite the press defect, although the keyboard is also out of place, at least it seems to bother less, it is a little more Latin, which fits a little better.
