One of brazil’s greatest sambistas is without doubt the
wonderful Cartola. He made some of the most beautiful
records. Cartola’s real commercial success didn’t arrive
until he was in his 60’s and 70’s. After a period of absence
he finally was rediscovered by journalist Sérgio Porto.
This record is from 1979, he died in 1980 ..

Cartola’s echte commerciele succes kwam pas toen hij in
de 60 en 70 was. Na een periode van afwezigheid werd
hij herontdekt door journalist Sérgio Porto. Dit album
