A solid cooperation between Gesner Henry, Coupé Cloué
and Jules Similien, Toto Nécessité. Toto wrote 5 of the
songs, Coupé wrote 1. The album appeared on Cine
Records in 1982. It was made in the easy twoubadou
style like most of their records. I have added the
links to other works that concern the two singers ..Uit 1982 en op Cine Records vinden we vandaag deze

Almost 12 years ago I posted this album with some of the
finest Congolese bands from the seventies. The version we
had was of poor sound quality. I promised in more than
one case to repost when I find a better one. This one was
waiting on the shelf for a long time to replace the former
and far worse copy. Another piece of gold on ‘african’
en één van mijn absolute favorieten ..All titles with l’Afrique Danse ..

Lately we’ve seen various records with Tabu Ley Rochereau.
Some live, some studio, one way or the other, Rochereau’s
music and sublime singing always find a happy listening
ear. The double album we have for you today is a splendid
one. The greatest singers and instrumentalists were brought
together for this 1980 recording. It sounds like it’s
been made yesterday. Enjoy listening ..We hadden de laatste weken verschillende platen met Tabu
Ley Rochereau. Sommige live, sommige uit de studio. Hoe
dan ook, Rochereau’s muziek en mooie stemgeluid vinden
altijd blije luisteraars. Het dubbel album dat we vandaag
voor je hebben is een zeer goede. De beste zangers en
instrumentalisten zijn bijeen gebracht voor deze
1980 opnamen. Het klinkt alsof ze gisteren
zijn opgenomen ..LP 1

Yet another record in the ‘african 360.000’ series that was
left unposted. Le Seigneur Rochereau à l’Olympia vol. 1 was
posted on october 4, 2011. Today we finally have volume two.
Once again it concerns a fake live album, the live sounds
are mixed in afterwards. Still, a document not to be
missed. It contains the wonderful ‘Mokolo Nakokufa’.
‘Complete your ‘african’ collection and download ..Nog zo’n plaat uit de ‘african 360.000’ serie die op de plank
was achtergebleven. Le Seigneur Rochereau à l’Olympia vol. 1
hadden we reeds op 4 oktober, 2011. Vandaag dan eindelijk
volume twee. Eens temeer betreft het hier een nep-live lp,
de live geluiden zijn er achteraf tussen gemixed. Evengoed,
een album om erbij te hebben als je je ‘african’ collectie
wilt completeren. Het bevat het mooie ‘Mokolo Nakokufa’.Le Seigneur Rochereau à l’Olympia vol. 1 1971

This record from 1977 opens with a song that has more or less
the same title as yesterday’s opener. “Did you know that ‘Isah
Sule’, popularly and musically known as Sir Waziri Oshomah,
was born on the 12th february, 1948 in Osomegbe, Ekperi,
Auchi, Bendel State. He obtained his primary education at
Osomegbe primary school, after which he attended St. Andrew’s
secondary school, Fugar. He worked in both government and
private sectors before he resigned to form his traditional highlife
band in 1973 and this has given him the opportunity of preaching
to his people through his recordings…” (liner notes)01 – Hon. lawrence idonigie,
