Alejandro Durán or in short Alejo Durán was one of the legendary
interpreters of vallenato. He won the first edition of the prestigious
Vallenato Legend Festival in 1968. Alejandro made quite a lot of records of
which some eleven on our page so far. The album we have today
is from 1977 and rocks like crazy, very good sound also ..

This is another rare album from Curaçao, the Netherlands
Antilles. Boy Dap was here not so long ago with this nice lp.
He received recognition throughout various countries in

From Benin-City in Nigeria we’ve got this highlife record
with Sir Patrick Idahosa and his African Sounds Makers.
He was here on one earlier occasion in august 2017. Not
much is written about Sir Patrick, any info on the subject
is very welcome. Get it and spread it as usual.
Shame the album has some minor jumps at
the beginning of track#3 ..

Uit Benin-City in Nigeria hebben we vandaag deze highlife

en Rubens da Mangueira maakten er deel van uit. Al is 1980 wat aan
de late kant, de sambas klinken als vanouds. Een album zeer de
moeite van het beluisteren waard, geef hem een slinger ..

Hello groovers, seven days are way too little to give a decent
picture of the history of Congolese music. A group that many
people have asked for over the years is Choc Stars. We had a
couple of their records so far. This is a Zaïrian release I have
found not so long ago. Vocals by Ben Nyamabo, Lassa Carlito,
Debaba, Defao, Djuna Djana, Nyayadio, Zemano Kamza and
Petit Prince. This one is for Harris, Soukousman, Mikaya,
Dennis, Webs, Tim, Glinka, Blaise, Rick and all who love
