Always a thrilling experience when walking into an album
like this one. The Pathé Marconi EMI recordings selected
by Fayette Blaise Mikano in the seventies are often very
promising. Take this lp by Orchestre Les Noirs, none of
the members of this group have familiar sounding
names. Not to me that is. They travelled through
Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania for some years
with huge succes. Founded in 1966 in the
Republic of Zaïre. This one is from 1975,
get it and spread it..P.S.
Track #3 at the end and track #4 at
the beginning sound a bit shrill, it is in
the recording though, we
must take it like it is..tracks;
01 – Bafola 1
02 – Mai ya tongo
03 – S.G.A.
04 – Longoli 1
05 – Masamuna
06 – Diedo miya
07 – Mokulu mbembe 1
08 – Mokulu mbembe 2
09 – MasundaPosted by Moosat 8:33 PM - Wednesday May 20, 2015
Les Bantous are here, we had some of their albums
in the past. I can’t seem to find a year of release but
it’s probably from early eighties. One way or the other
this is a very nice lp, look at that line-up, swell stuff..tracks;
01 – Osala n’gaï nini ?
02 – Bilanda-landa mabé
03 – Querida paola
04 – DegePosted by Moosat 7:50 AM - Thursday April 30, 2015
Good morning, it’s been some time since we’ve seen
him pass by, le Grand Maître however keeps coming
back every once in a while. This 1980 lp on VISA is
one we didn’t have yet. The album sounds fairly good
it has one small pop in track one but that’s it. Another
sweet piece of Franco’s huge legacy, enjoy it..
p.s. I’ve got some software problems so
I could not rescale to cd sized front.tracks;
01 – Peuch del sol
02 – Na bali misere
03 – Mbawu na ko recuperer yo
04 – Bolingo ya moitie moitiePosted by Moosat 7:49 AM - Tuesday April 14, 2015

away, it’s a must have if you’re into Congolese music.
Ten great songs by one great artist, give it a go..tracks;

05 – Bebe 2e

Now that’s quite some time ago, we had a bunch of
both their albums. Today Tabu Ley and Mbilia Bel
appear together on this 1985 record. Their work is
always worth at least a couple of spins and so
does this one. The album is in mint condition
so it plays perfectly well, listen yourself..tracks;
01 – La beauté d’une femme
02 – Ma fille
03 – Sina mambo
04 – Nalingi yo linga ngaiPosted by Moosat 11:07 AM - Monday March 9, 2015
Good morning, how about some soukous to start up the week?
Kanda Bongo man is here first time with this 1981 slice of hot
African vinyl. With Diblo on guitar, what can go wrong? Listen
and make up your own mind, get & spread as usaual..tracks;
01 – Iyole
02 – N’sambi-carol
03 – Amina
04 – MazinaPosted by Moosat 10:10 AM - Thursday February 5, 2015
It must have been around 1981, the release of this album
I mean, taken the popularity of the syn-drum. It didn’t take
very long before the whole world got tired with it but here
we are still in the phase in which it was hot to use them.
It is slightly disturbing if you want but it’s also funny to
hear the stuff again. Nuff said, Shama-Shama was in-
troduced to me thru this album on the African label. I fell
in love with the voice of Mopera Wa Maloba straight
away. Warm cavacha sound you don’t want
to miss, get it & spread it..tracks;
01 – Nasambue
02 – Mamisha
03 – Camarade n’dinga
04 – Fleur rosePosted by Moosat 10:07 AM - Wednesday February 4, 2015
Until now we had eight albums with le Prince Youlou Mabiala.
Use our search-bar to find them but first download this record.
It is another of his lp’s, from 1984 and on the IAD label. When
I find an lp like this, it is impossible to suppress a grin on my
face and I’m glad to bring it today, hope you like it like I do.
Get it & spread it the way you’re used to..tracks;
01 – Le corps refuse
02 – 1 x 2 = mabé
03 – Ondolé léa
04 – Hardy joséPosted by Moosat 9:55 AM - Sunday January 25, 2015
We had us a few records with Empire Bakuba already
but this one is somehow different. It tells us frontman
is Papy Tex instead of Pépé Kallé. His name doesn’t
even appear. I am sure to hear him a few times though.
Papy Tex wrote the tracks on this album and comes
out strong to my opinion. I dare say this is a
typical Empire Bakuba slice and it rocks
like always, listen and dance away..tracks;
1 Livre d’or
2 Pebi ya pembe
3 Litama
4 Ce n’est pas ma fautePosted by Moosat 9:39 AMCategories

At first I didn’t realise, we had him passing by here in august 2011.
He was on that album called ‘les Grands Succes des Editions Samay’.
It gained many happy listeners I remember.
Today Samba Mascott is here with an album of his own, what can
I say, I think it’s one of the better Congolese lp’s we had so far.
Les Bantous de la Capitale at their peak and Samba’s
wonderful voice to round it all up, sweeet..!
I really need me to find his other records.tracks;
1 Cheri amouzoud
2 Milagros-fromenta
3 15 mois de grossesse
4 Pete na mosapiPosted by Moosat 10:01 AMCategories
