    Global Groove's Selection 2011, cd front

    Africa’s greatest artist of all time is Franco Luambo Makiadi,
    that is, if you ask me. He died on october 12, 1989,
    exactly 22 years ago today. A fine opportunity to
    launch a compilation with some of his work. It seemed
    a good idea to use my collage as it’s cover. I hope
    you like both and wish you happy listening,
    after all these years, still the best,
    let’s honour him once more !

    Global Sampler vol.33

    With over 1100 posts, the Global Groove is becoming
    quite a reference book. Lots of styles from lots of countries
    are to be found here. To help you find your way through all
    those LP’s, there are several options. If you know what you’re
    looking for, just type it in our search-bar on the left. If you don’t,
    maybe the Global Samplers can be of help. They contain some
    personal favourites and highlites. Single tracks from selected LP’s
    that were posted through time. Sampler No.33 covers posts from
    january and february 2010. Being a bit behind doesn’t matter, this
    way it is of help to everybody, even this old dusty brain.
    Listening is the only way, get it now, happy searching.

    Why don’t you go out to buy a bottle of mezcal, lemon and
    some seasalt. Then, invite a couple of good friends, put on this
    Mexican collector and open up the booze. A lick of salt, a shot
    of mezcal and a bite of lemon to maximize the thrilling effect.

    ‘Damn Moos, you’re looking younger all the time, what’s
    your secret ?’, they ask me. Well folks it’s quite easy actually,
    Do not miss one single day if it concerns listening to the music
    you really love. Last week I heard on the news that listening to music
    helps the body to make dopamine. The stuff that makes us feel happy.
    So, next to a few other things of course, listening to music is a very
    healthy habbit, keeps you young. So listen at home, at work, especially
    in your car, the best place to live through it completely. Well, long story short,
    download this musical health unit and start exercising, left foot front, right..
    ..an additional little dance can’t hurt, come on, move that ass..
