José Tamárez Mateo was born in San Isidro in the Dominican Republic
in 1920. I have no idea from what year this LP is. If any one
can tell us, that would be nice. It is an oldie and it’s been
played a lot. The final track has a little damage, you may ask
why post it ? Well, for the simple reason it contains eleven
great tracks, and they sound just fine. Give a fair chance
to the Real King of Merengue; Joseito Mateo.

From the Dominican Republic, this is ‘Angel Viloria’, who plays the
accordeon. The great voice we hear belongs to ‘Dioris Valladares’.
This is classic old style merengue as pure as it gets.
