achtergrond gerommel.Always a moment of exitement when walking into another
record by one of your favourite artists. This is such an album.
Kyerematen Atwede with singer Baffour Kyei is on top of my
wishlist . On this fine lp the group is accompanied by one of
my favourite Ghanaian guitarists, Eric Agyemang and assisted
by Atakora Manu. From 1983 and on Ambassador, this is
another great piece of highlife, recorded in the Kumasi
studios. If I were you, I would not ignore this one..
B-side unfortunately has a little
background noise.titels ;
01 – Onokwa no no
02 – Odasani

is ‘m geworden.
West Afrika. Ik zeg zeer terecht, dit is werkelijk heerlijke highlife.I had a few Ghanaian records from which to choose today and this
is the one I picked. Paa Bobo’s style suits me best. After working
with Okukuseku of Kofi Sammy Paa started his own group and not
without succes. His records are in heavy demand all over the West
coast of Africa, I say quite rightly, this truly is delightful highlife.titels ;

soortige muziek gaan plaatsen.
Nederlands is nu eenmaal
dus net zo goed even vergeten.
Jengelt lekker voort hoor.
Groetjes van Moos.Kanonne,
curious ? Use Google

The one day every year there’s nothing on my mind but
being free and doing what I like best is today. No single
obligation, just hobbies..lovely. Therefore a special treat
is at its place. Listen to this. Dan Amakye Dede and his
Apollo High Kings are here to make you enjoy this holiday.
It was made in Nigeria by this great Ghanaian Band,
from 1987 and rocks like hell, give it a couple
of spins and agree, wonderful stuff..tracks;

If it comes to Ghanaian highlife, the GG has brought quite
some over the years. I am certainly no expert on the matter
but I can tell you this. Kyeremateng Atwede is the singer
that made the biggest impression on me. ( in fact it is Baffour
Kyei ) I just love the colour of his clear voice, it has
this nasal touch not many have. Check out this record.
I don’t know What the songs deal about, cover with skull ?
If you could tell us, that’d be nice. Quite sure it used to
be here already but can’t seem to find it anymore.tracks;
01 – Eno benewa
02 – Wo ye kwa
03 – Every work na work
04 – Okwantuni
05 – Yellow womanI replaced the old link for a new one.
Much better sound quality, go switch’m now.

International – Srekye Duku,
Bertson Records 1982Good morning groovers, sometimes we get lucky just
going through the records stored. Today I discovered
this here album, one that got forgotten in an earlier
stage. It was put aside to record later and today it
finally finds its way to you. I’m quite sure you’re
gonna like it, A.B. Crentsil and his Super Sweet
Talks International recorded this lp in Nigeria.
It is from 1982 and sounds just great. Get it
now and give it a couple of spins, enjoy..tracks;

It’s no news, Ghanaian records are hard to find in mint
condition. The first side of this album sounds pretty ok
the second side begins with a lot of noise. Unfortunately
it doesn’t get much better along the way. Let’s see what
we have here. City Boys International Band of Ghana led
by Obuoba J.A. Adofo found a load of happy listeners
already. Part from the soundquality the album is very
good, especially side one stands out to my humble
opinion. Side two is quite damaged but I recorded
it anyway for you to know what we’re missing.I am so sorry side two sounds really terrible !
P.S.
We had an “Ankwanobi” of their hand already,
same pistol-shaped guitar on the front. The one
we have today is different however, other version
of the title-song and other accompanying tracks as
well. Today’s version is slightly better I think.tracks;
01 – Ankwanobi
02 – Monsu name
03 – I have no father ( damaged )
04 – Dabia menko mewuo ( damaged )Posted by Moosat 10:06 AMCategories

Good morning folks, today it is high time for highlife.
I really wanted to be posting more music from Ghana
if only the quality of the records was a little better.
The cleanest of my albums have already been brought
so now is the turn to some lesser looking or sounding
ones. Let’s see, the lp we’ve got here has a damaged
sleeve but the sound is reasonably fair, some scratches
are inevitable. Kumapim Royals Band makes up for
that shortage in a fine way fortunately. Their music
is lovely and I’m sure you’ll like..
So far we had 4 of their lp’s,
use our search-bar
to find them.tracks;
01 – Obiara mfa nadwene mmra
– Ewiase pt. 1
– Ewiase pt. 2

I really can’t tell you anything useful about this artist.
Untill this record I never heard his music. Wanted to
post something from Ghana but the choice is getting
smaller. The album is from 1984 and was recorded in
London as you can see. If anyone knows something
we’d like to hear aout this somehow funny and
funky hihlife, please leave us a message..tracks;
01 – Grace soronko
02 – Me nyame hume mbobo
03 – Mampaw nyowa bebe
