Since I received that request for the works of Ernesto Djédjé
I’ve been taking a dive into my Côte d’Ivoire section. An artist
never displayed here earlier is Doh Albert. Listen to this album
from 1983. It is a quite entertaining happy record until the one
weepy at the end. There’s a few others waiting to get posted.

If we Google Mamadou Doumbia, we find lots of pages
concerning the Ivorian football player with the same name.
About the artist very little is to be found. A small bio on
musicinafrica.net is about all. One way or the other, his
music is quite enjoyable so just listen ..

Als we Google naspeuren op Mamadou Doumbia, vinden
we een berg pagina’s over de Ivoriaanse voetballer met
dezelfde naam, maar nauwelijks iets over de muzikant.
Hoe dan ook, zijn muziek is tamelijk fijn dus gewoon

When I saw HTD‘s posts on Pablo Moses last month,
it took me back to 1981 when I bought my first album
with him. It was a long time ago since I played ‘Pave
the Way’. Listening now while recording it all comes
back. Over 40 years later it still sounds quite fresh ..

I’ll give you another one today. Ernesto’s third album ‘Aguissè’
from 1978 and also on Badmos to enjoy him a bit more ..

On special request and from Côte d’Ivoire we’ve got this
album with Ernesto Djédjé today. He created his ‘Ziglibithy’
based on a kind of bété roots music combined with Congolese
rhythms. His records are quite hard to find nowadays ..

Good morning, you may have noticed low activity, time
has been limited the past few weeks. Let’s say it is holiday
season and other things had priority. Let’s see ..

This is an old prince Buster album on which no info was
available easily. The sleeve and label only speak of ten songs
while in fact the record counts twelve. Luckily nowadays we
have the tools to find the correct titles. This elpee contains
the song ‘Madness’ where the Brittish group took its name
from. Further we find only golden oldies as the title already
suggests. Lovely ska songs you can’t afford to miss ..

Goeiemorgen, het was je vast al opgevallen dat er de laatste
weken niet zo veel activiteit is, zomervakantie tijd zullen we
maar zeggen, andere dingen kregen voorrang ..

Vandaag hebben we deze plaat met Prince Buster waarover
niet direct veel te vinden was. De hoes en het label spreken
slechts over tien nummers terwijl de plaat er toch echt twaalf
telt. Gelukkig beschikken we tegenwoordig over de middelen
de correcte titels te vinden. Dit album bevat de song ‘Madness’
waar de Engelse groep z’n naam aan ontleende. Verder vinden
we alleen golden oldies zoals de titel al doet vermoeden ..

voelt aan als van gisteren. Reggie Stepper met Kim-Bo-King,
een ragga killer die ik toen zoveel heb gedraaid, ineens vond
ik hem vanmorgen terug. Nu dus eindelijk ook bij jullie ..
