This morning I wanted to rip an album by Jackson do Pandeiro
and only when halfway I realised it was the wrong slice of vinyl
inside. What a shame, time spoiled but not to worry, I decided
to rip a cd with another famous album by Jackson. O Cabra da
peste is originally from 1966 but the cd release is from 2001.

Write his name in our search-bar and find the one album
by his hand we already had. Today’s lp is one in various styles,
from cumbia to cumbión, guaracha, pasaje and such. It bursts
of percussional beats on pots and pans, no just joking but the
tambó is very hot on this album and one song is happier than
the other. I can’t seem to get enough of this sound, how
’bout you ? If anyone should know a year of release,
please do not hesitate and leave us a message.
Meantime give it a spin and enjoy..tracks;

Always a thrill to find records on the Machuca label, and when
it concerns work by Manuel Caraballo it’s extra nice. Today these
two lucky events fall together nicely with this 1975 album. Lovers

record straight away. Twelve songs covering styles like merengue

I know Ghanaian music is very much appreciated by many,
it is difficult however to keep posting quality recordings. In
general it is a troublesome job to find albums that play well.
I have found quite some records over the years that fail to
satisfie afterwards. In lots of cases the centerhole is not in the
middle so the music gets false, I’m sure you know the problem.
Other lp’s are scratched more than expected or it has hidden
pops and such one could not suspect on first sight. One way or
the other, today we’ve got an album that plays fairly well.
after a couple of rejects this morning Atakora Manu’s lp
Mene Awurade Benante stood the test and got through
to you. It is the fifth album by his hand that’s been
posted here, find the other four using our search
bar on the left. The tracks on this record don’t
have any blancs in between so it’s only
divided in a-side and b-side, enjoy
listening nevertheless..tracks;
01 – Mene awurade benante
– Menua pa
– Owuo yi se me
02 – Wani behu caanan

Two times a year we have the biggest record fair in Utrecht,
just some 25 kilometers from my town. The one in april is
mostly not as good as the one in november but this year it
was different. I got quite lucky in finding some treasures.
Take this album on Pathé Marconi/EMI, it is a collector of
Congolese songs from the seventies if not mistaking. It
contains some beautiful tracks. The second song by
Anne-Marie Nzie is somehow poppy and different
from the other 8. Track #5 concerns a song by
Orchestre Orphee Jazz which appears here
for the first time. This label stands out
for quality recordings and today’s
lp confirms that point of view.
I saw it is still missing at
Bolingo’s discography,
what to do ?
Get it &
spread
it..tracks;
01 – Orchestre Negro-Band – Journal dipanda
02 – Anne-Marie Nzie – Mua ntua mura
03 – Orchestre O.K. Jazz – Omona wapi
04 – Orchestre Bantou – Tango mosusu
05 – Orchestre Orphee-Jazz – Congo oye
06 – Orchestre Bantou – Choisis, ou c’est lui ou c’est moi
07 – Orchestre Cercul Jazz – Bibi
08 – Orchestre Negro-Band – Masseke
09 – Orchestre O.K. Jazz – Si vous passez par làPosted by Moosat 10:07 AMCategories

Yesterday I took a walk through Amsterdam, checking a few second
hand record stores and guess what happened. I stumbled upon this
wonderful lp. we had numbers 1,2,3 and 5 but 4 was still missing.
I’m so very happy with this find, Daniel Owino Misiani and his Luo
Voice Jazz Band belong to my very favourite benga groups. Very
nice to complete the series with this record, get it now and you
will not be sorry. Strong instrumental parts and vocal
harmonies make this album a solid listen..One more thing; it would be very nice if someone
knows why every song is called after a person’s name.
I keep wondering why they do that in benga music..tracks;
01 – Joshuah abuya
02 – G. ogalo
03 – James songora
04 – Chistopher odira
05 – Silus oyoo
06 – Obiero olumbe
07 – Siongo john
08 – Salmon okwaro
09 – Timothy ochanda
10 – Glary opiyoPosted by Moosat 8:44 AMCategories

by the beauty of his songs. His sambas are so subtle
and delicate, every track so different and nice, it is shear

Desfrute y goze com ese samba bom demais..tracks;
01 – E lá vou eu
02 – Batendo a porta
03 – Sonho de bamba
04 – Meu canto sem paz
05 – De rosas e coisas amigas
06 – Eu hein, rosa!
